Girls are Beautiful - Continued :)

Hello everyone!

Guys, I am so absolutely thrilled at the responses I got from my last post about the natural beauty of young women!

Here are some of my great friends who have responded to my post, and a girl who is taking my challenge to go once a week without any make-up the whole day!! :)

Here they are:

Please click on those links and go read what they have to say, it is worth your time! :)

Guys, I really want to continue this "Festival of Beauty", so please keep sending me updates on how your own "Festival" is doing! Keep writing blog posts about the natural beauty of women, and lets infect the world with these true and amazing ideas!

Please leave a comment or send me a message if you have any questions or doubts, and we can work through them! If you still have doubts about your natural beauty, listen to President Thomas S. Monson as he says:

"The gospel teaches us that true beauty is more than skin-deep. A young woman whose countenance is aglow with both happiness and virtue radiates inner beauty... If happiness is the most attractive accessory a young woman can have, then a smile would have to be the most charming cosmetic. Make-up, if applied tastefully and in moderation, can enhance appearance. But no amount of eye shadow, lipstick, or mascara could possibly compete with the natural attractiveness of a genuine smile. It brightens the room. It cheers others. It communicates friendship, love, and optimism so much more than any cosmetic ever could. It puts people at ease and is welcoming. Truly in the world of glamour, there is no close second to a genuine smile."
--President Thomas S. Monson

(Thanks for letting me steal that quote Bronwen!)

All of you young ladies are beautiful! Every single girl on this planet deserves to feel confidant and beautiful, don't you think?

Let's let the world know what we think guys! I love you all, and you are all beautiful!! :)

Also, me and my brother Andrew are getting are mission calls, oh you know. . . December 22nd!!!! :D

Yeah, pretty awesome. :) We will make an event on facebook before too long to let you all know more about the details, sound good? :)

Have an awesome day guys!

Girls, You are all Beautiful.

Just a couple of thoughts that have been on my mind recently.

To get my point across immediately, here is a little illustration:

When God created Eve, he didn't immediately hand her mascara and lipstick and say: "Quick, put these on before Adam gets back so he will think you are beautiful."

See where I am going with this?

Now, don't get me wrong, I am not saying make-up is bad or makes a girl seem fake. Quite the opposite, girls still look pretty with make-up on and everything. It is awesome!

But notice I used the word still.

The word still referring to the fact that they looked just as beautiful without the make-up on.

Do you girls think you look ugly if it is a sweat-pants, hair-up, no make-up kind of day? Well I have news for you. . .

You all still have the same beautiful eyes, same beautiful smile, and same beautiful personality.

See where I am going with this yet? :)

Girls, when I tell you that you look beautiful today, I truly mean it. I promise. I wouldn't just throw that out there here and there even if it seems like I do, but I really, truly mean it.

And let's get another thing cleared up, when I say you are beautiful, not only am I referring to your natural beauty, but I am mostly referring to your personality! :)

(When I say 'personality', my definition is that you are kind, caring, and just so sweet all around in spirit and in the way you live, being an example to everyone around you.)

For example: there might be a girl who is absolutely gorgeous with her looks, but if she is rude, self-centered, and just a plain brat, you will never catch me telling her she is beautiful, because to me she is not. Maybe some guys dig the girls that are mean to everyone, although I don't know why they would. . .

I believe that to be beautiful, it is more important what is on the inside of you, rather than the outside.

Well. . . sorry, that was a really long and random thought, but I believe it with my whole heart. :)

So if I come up to you some day and tell you that you look beautiful, not only do I think you look pretty that day, but I also love your personality. Confidence is also something that makes a girl look extremely gorgeous, just throwin' that out there. . .

Now some of you might get sad at that confidence part, because you might think you don't have any.

Do you want to know the secret to having confidence that makes you look gorgeous?

Here it is:

Make the inside of you beautiful.

Be the best person you can be, and that will make you more beautiful than any make-up product the industry can throw at you.

So I guess in conclusion, no matter what make-up you put on, you will probably only feel as good as you do on the inside.

Here is a fun challenge I have for you as well: once a week, don't put any make-up on the entire day.

You can still dress up and all that good stuff, but try not to wear make-up for the entire day. Just try it. :)

So yeah, if I offended anyone with this post, make a comment and tell me why you think girls shouldn't feel good about themselves on the inside. ok? :)

But also, leave a comment adding your own opinion, and we can discuss that as well. :)

Ladies, don't ever let boys treat you below the standards of a Daughter of God. Because that is what you are.

I love you all. :) You are ALL beautiful!!

Me + Bacon Alarm Clock = Love at First Sight!!!

Guys, I am truly in love right now.

Prepare for mind blowing, ok?

Here we go: An alarm clock that wakes you up with the aroma of bacon!!!!!

Happy pig stares at you all night, of course I want it!

Side door for bacon to come out

Heeere it comes. . .

If your mind isn't blown yet, you are not human. . . or maybe you just don't like bacon, in which case I will forgive you today. :)

But isn't that the coolest thing ever?? You set the pre-cooked bacon to heat up for about 4 minutes, then when you wake up, you wake up to the delicious aroma of bacon, and you get to eat it right there!! It is all ready for you to enjoy right when you wake up!

I don't know about you guys, but my mind was blown, and is still being blown.

Salo Vs. Morris

This is one of my favorite battles in Red Bull BC One 2011! Enjoy! :)

Once again, the actual battle starts at 1:20.

Last Post of Red Bull. . . Finally ;)

Hey guys! So I have been talking about Red Bull BC One a lot lately. . .

You are probably getting tired of it by now, but bear with me for a little longer.

. . . . .

Wow! This years competition was unlike any other! There was so much energy between all the Bboys, I was seriously jumping out of my seat the whole time!

I feel so inspired to dance now you have no idea!

But the really cool thing for me is that in this competition there was a whole lot more rocking to the beat!

What I mean by that is there was a lot more footwork, toprock, and legit freezes!! The winner Bboy Roxrite from the U.S. of A hardly used power moves the whole time! He just listened to the music, rocked to the beat, and took the title!

I love how that shows that you don't need straight up power moves to win a competition(nothing against Lil G, he really rocked it too! What a stud!), but that as long as you are feeling the music and dancing to it, you can win anything. Even win the Superbowl of Breakdance(which is Red Bull BC One).

Anyway, it was a great battle for everyone!

Yeah, so I might post a video of it when I find a video with good quality, but until then, have a great day! :)

True Swag

Wow. This video blew me away!

Featured in it are Nequin(world champion of Red Bull BC 1 last year) and El Nino. Both of these bboys are going to compete this year in Red Bull BC 1, but this is a battle earlier this year I believe.

This is so cool!!

The actual battle part starts at 1:12, so skip to that part, and enjoy!

I am pretty sure Neguin won, but El Nino was fantastic also!

Have an awesome day guys!

Dance is the best, and so is life! :)

So last Thursday I went to UVU's Best Dance Crew, and it was so cool!!!

Man, it was one of the coolest shows I have been to, and it hyped everyone up so much for dance! The Hip-hop and Bboy scene is growing so much in Utah now and I am very glad to be a part of it!

Best parts of the night definitely were the dance battle between the final two groups, and also the audience participation dance battle! Wish you guys all could have been there! :)

Moving on, Red Bull BC One 2011 is this Saturday!!!

I know I keep bringing this up, but I am just so flippin' excited for it! If you don't know where I am from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the afternoon, well, just be jealous knowing I am streaming the competition live from Russia. Win.

Anyway, I will stop boring you with that!

John is coming home!!!!!!!!!!

I am so flippion' excited for this too, because my oldest brother and his wife and child are coming to see John as well when he gets home!

This means, that our whole entire family will be together for the very first time in. . . oh, maybe 5 or 6 years!!!!!!!! :D :D

You have no idea how exciting that is for me. :)

So yeah, life is good! Especially since Thanksgiving Break is this week as well!

Anyway, you guys rock, and I love you all! Have an awesome day! :)

Exciting Times.

Just as the title explains: exciting times.

Yesterday my friend Robert Haggard received his mission call! He will be serving in:

*Drum roll here*

Benin, Cotonou!!

. . . . .

(It is in Africa, right next to Ghana)

*Insert applause and cheering here now that you know where Benin, Cotonou is :)*

Yep! Isn't that awesome?? He will be serving in the French Language, and will go into the MTC on March 7, 2012.

Another piece of awesomeness: My brother John is coming home in exactly one month!!!!

Yup, he will arrive in Utah on December 2, 2011 in time for Christmas with the family. :)

All this mission awesomeness is making me super excited for my call! My brother and I put our papers in on December 27, 2011, which is in fact the day that Preston Hale might get his call. :)

I will keep you posted on those details later, just thought I should let you guys know about all the exciting things going on in my life. :)

Have an awesome day! :)

November 26, 2011

What a great day November 26, 2011 be!

Red Bull BC One.

The biggest one-on-one Bboy battle in the whole world. . .

Is going to be streamed live!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I cannot even tell how excited I am for this, because it will be freakin' legit!

So if you guys are wondering where I am on that Saturday, like I have fallen off the face of the earth, I am at my house streaming it live probably eating mounds of Pad Thai... we will see. :)

Here is a random picture that I really like, it is the Red Bull BC One All-Stars which is a crew that was formed from some of the top Bboys who have competed against each other:

Yup, have a great day guys! :)

Jacob gives amazing discourses!!! :)

I love this book. Beyond what words can describe.

But here are the gems that I found recently!!

Please go read 2 Nephi Chapter 9.

It is fantastic!!! In it, Nephi is recording one of Jacob's discourses on the Atonement, and It is absolutely beautiful!

Can I make a suggestion? Read this chapter out loud. It makes it very clear and easy to understand when you do that, and you feel the Spirit so strongly! At least that is how it is for me! :)

Here is one of my favorite verses in this chapter:

"O, my beloved brethren, turn away from your sins; shake off the chains of him that would bind you fast; come unto that God who is the rock of your salvation." 2 Nephi 9:45

When I read this out loud, the Spirit flooded me so strongly! I really want all of you to feel this way when you read the Book of Mormon, because it is seriously the best feeling in the World!!!!!

I love you guys, and I love the Book of Mormon, and I love Jesus Christ for what he has done for all of us! Let's makes sure we don't let his sacrifice do to waste! :)

Have an awesome day!

Red Bull BC One 2011!!

39 more days!!

Man, I can't tell you guys how excited I am to find out who will be the new world champion in breakdancing this year!!

For those of you that don't know, The Red Bull BC One Competition is held every year in a different country each time. The top 16 Breakdancers in the world come together to battle it out for the top spot!

How cool is that?? :D

These dancers come from all around the world! You name it! Ukraine, South Korea, Russia, U.S.A., Brazil, Venezuala, France, etc. Dancers that have trained for years, and now they are competing to become the top guy in Breakdancing.

Here are the World Champions so far:

2004 in Biel, Switzerland: Omar - U.S.A. (Not one of my favorites, but this is historic since it was the first competition.)

2005 in Berlin, Germany: Lilou - France (Lilou is one of my favorites!! He has such a great feel for the music, a unique dance style, and he is really cool to watch!)

2006 in Sao Paulo, Brazil: Hong 10 - South Korea (Another one of my all time favorites! Koreans are such good dancers! I would even say they are probably to best in the world, but Hong 10 was one of my first favorites that I ever watched, and we has a great unique style too!)

2007 in Johannesburg, South Africa: Ronnie - U.S.A (Ronnie is very talented and a pretty great dancer! I am not a huge fan of some of his style, but he is a good dancer overall!)

2008 in Paris, France: Wing - South Korea (He has one of the most unique styles I have ever seen, I don't think anyone else in the world has the same style as him! Great dancer!)

2009 in New York, U.S.A.: Lilou - France (The only Bboy to ever win twice in the World Champoinship!! I told you he was awesome! I have great respect for his dance style!)

2010 in Tokyo, Japan: Nequin - Brazil

He may look a little intense, but he really is a nice guy! :)

Not only do I love him because he is Brazilian, but he has such an awesome style of dance, and he doesn't smoke! His brother died from drugs, so he lets people know that he won't do that stuff, and that it would compromise his dancing!

So he is really awesome, and he will be returning to Red Bull to defend his title this year, so I am excited to see him in action! :)

Anyway, I will give you the line-up for this year, and then I will stop rambling. :)

Here goes:

1. El NiƱo - U.S.A.
2. Flying Buddha - Russia
3. Hong 10 - South Korea
4. Lagaet - Portugal
5. Lil G - Venezuala
6. Morris - U.S.A
7. Mounir - France
8. Neguin - Brazil
9. Niek - Netherlands
10. Roxrite - U.S.A.
11. Salo - Venezuala
12. SoSo - France
13. Taisuke - Japan
14. Vero - South Korea
15. Yan The Shrimp - Russia
16. 3T - Vietnam

So there you have it guys! These are some of the top Breakers in the world, and I am really excited to see who our new champion is! :)

Hope you didn't get bored with that post! :P I will do another one soon talking about some of my favorite top Breakdancers, but for now, I have to run!

Love you guys!

Brazilian Jedi's Part 2 :)

Hey Guys! As promised, I am posting another one of our very nerdy videos for you to enjoy!

I really like the special effects in this one a lot more, because we don't only have lightsabers and stuff, ya know?

Andrew is our lovely camera guy that gets killed in the end, and I hope you enjoy this one!

Watch until after the credits for some more cool special effects we were developing. ;)

So there you have it! Have a great day guys! :)

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Yeah I was a Jedi in Brazil. No Big Deal.

Title pretty much explains this one.

My friends and I were really into animating and action, so why not put those together?

Yup, you guessed it... Lightsaber fight!! :)

Enjoy. I will post another one soon!

Anyway, I look super young. But hope you enjoy that! I will post another one of my favorites that we did probably tomorrow.

This one by the way has like 1,478 views on youtube, so we are pretty famous. ;)

Love you guys!

This might describe my party/break-dance life. I don't know, or it is just a cool song. :)

Anyway, you guys have fun today! :)

New contacts, Rory, and Stuff.

October this month has been pretty great! And there is still a ton more to do!

Today I got new contacts that feel great! I am pretty sure anyone that puts in brand new contacts know the amazing feeling I am experiencing right now. :)

Also, if I had to be any fictional character in the world, I would probably choose. . .

Rory Williams!

Anyway, Rory is pretty fantastic! He would definitely be the person I would be if I had to be a fictional person....

Yeah. :)

And I love my mom. She is awesome everyday, and I don't know where I would be without her. :)

Love you guys!

Romain Dupouy, A Freakin' Awesome Guy :)

Quite simply, Romain, I love you.

This is a tribute to one of my dear friends Romain.

If you know him, you love him. I haven't heard a single bad word against this guy, and I would knock down anyone if I did hear a single bad word against this guy.

I am so glad that Romain was able to stay with us longer than he intended in the first place! Even though I see him sporadically, every moment that I am with him is pure awesomeness! I am super jealous of Josh Brewer and others who see him a lot more than me!

I know that he has touched others lives besides mine.

These are just a few of Romain's many fans. :)

Romain, I will miss you, and I hope our paths will cross again one day. I will always remember the day you walked in with Josh Brewer to our humble Super Smash Brothers party when I met you for the first time. :)

Even though it is sad to say goodbye, I have a feeling we will see each other again! ;) You rock Romain, and I think everyone will back me up when I say you have influenced all of our lives! :)

I love you man!
Love Matt or Cakes, you decide ;)

Life, Thoughts, Maybe Snacks. . .

Ok, So no snacks, but that would be cool, right?

Life is pretty good right now. I get to go Break Dance tonight at BYU, Conference was fantastic, and sleep is my best friend.

Break Dancing is one of my creative outlets. I have a ton of energy, so why not put it into something as cool as dance? I know this video below is not Break Dancing, but it is a form of Hip-Hop called Tutting(there are variations like Finger Tutting, and digits, which he does both of). But yeah, it is super cool so check it out!

Wasn't that legit? I think so :)

Going onto Conference.

It was so great! I think you would agree with me that it was awesome. Unless you don't like conference. . . which you should. ;)

There were so many great speakers, but I want to share the quote by Elder Holland that I have already shared on facebook, so bear with me :)

"Brethren ... I am looking tonight for men young and old who care enough about this battle between good and evil to sign on and speak up!"
-Elder Holland in Priesthood Session

I loved being able to attend Priesthood Session up in Salt Lake, and I absolutely love this quote Elder Holland gave!

I don't know about you, but I am signing up literally and figuratively! I get to put my mission papers in December 27th, and I am super excited to find out where I have the privilege of serving the Lord for two years!

And onto sleep. I am sorry I don't utilize it as much as I should, because it seriously is fantastic. I absolutely love sleep. :)

So yeah, that is me right now. And I am super excited for the Provo Tabernacle Temple. :) I won't put a picture up since you have all probably seen it a billion times, but it is exciting!

Have an awesome day guys! :)

Mark Zuckerberg and Basketball... but mostly Facebook.

DISCLAIMER: I am not intentionally trying to make fun of anyone that did post the actual status that claims facebook is going to start charging for usage. This is just how I see this situation.

So, If you were one of the 40 people that have "liked" my latest satirical status, you guys rock. That is like the best status I ever put! You all get a free unicorn now.... haha! Gotcha!

Anyway, I put it up because I think it is hilarious how some people post those other actual ones that give prices and everything, and saying that your icon will turn blue..... yeah.

Do you guys really believe that? Or are you just posting it for kicks?

Don't you think if Facebook really was going to start charging there would be a big news story on it or something? On KSL or CNN they would say: "Facebook is now charging 10 dollars per month which has started riots in all the major cities on earth".

I can just see that meeting right now with Mark Zuckerberg:

Mark: "Gentlemen, I believe we can start charging 10 dollars per month for facebook usage... Billy, send out that message that will change everyone's icon blue if they repost it, and only if they repost it. That way we can still get money from the dumb people who don't post it."

Billy: "Sir, shouldn't we get our Public Relations guys to let the world know that we are charging for facebook now? Shouldn't we put it up on the news, or billboards or something?"

Mark: "Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! Where's the fun in that?? I want to have all the people who don't repost our message to have to pay for it! Get a sense of humor Billy! Now go post that message, we need to get rid of these unicorns....."

So yeah. That is how I picture that meeting.

With such a big move like starting to charge for facebook, their Public Relations department would have the massive project to get the word out to the facebook users. Let's use common sense. They wouldn't send out one facebook spam message and hope that it gets to everyone.

So yeah, use common sense, and life will be good to you. You guys rock!

Here is a random picture just for kicks:

Love Matt or Cakes, you decide ;)

Last Post for LXD Probably....

So yeah, just as the title says.

I figured that most of you don't want to read about this at all, so I will just give you a list of the episodes and which to watch, not watch, etc.

Chapter One: Tale of Trevor Drift = WATCH IT! Pretty good stuff, acting isn't great, but dancing is awesome!

Chapter Two: Antigravity Heroes = WATCH IT! Awesome tricking!(Which is flips, gainers, awesome aerials, etc.)

Chapter Three: Robot Lovestory = WATCH IT! Madd Chadd(Sp3cimen in the series) is one of my favorite dancers of all time, he is so talented. Don't be freaked out by the Dark Doctor and his freaky dancing cronies, but that is just the style of dance he has, other than that it is an awesome episode!

Chapter Four: The Uprising Begins = WATCH IT! Really great episode, you actually see good guy vs. bad guy in epic break battle. Definitely worth it!

Chapter Five: The Lettermakers = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! It is a cool episode, but if you don't like krumping, you probably won't like this one. The black guys shirtless are a nice touch though...

Chapter Six: Duet = WATCH IT! I really liked this episode, it is kinda different, but still really well done!

Chapter Seven: The Dark Doctor Deal = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! I sorta liked this one, but once again the Dark Doctor's style of dance is weird, and when he is manipulating another dancer through dance, it looks kinda freaky but really interesting.

Chapter Eight: Elliot's Shoes = WATCH IT! This was such a well done episode!! This guy is such a great dancer, I believe he is on GLEE, but it is really awesome to watch him dance! A definite keeper!

Chapter Nine: Fanboyz = WATCH IT! Once again, these guys are really cool, and I love their quirky style, and awesome outfits. Definite keeper!

Chapter Ten: I Seen a Man = WATCH IT! This is such a cool episode to me, because it is awesome tap dancing! That's right, tap dancing! This guy is so good at what he does, and I really enjoy watching him.

Chapter Eleven: The Legion = WATCH IT! This is a cool episode, because all of the characters come together and meet each other, and they meet a bunch of other dancers that are all really cool! I like this one a lot! You also meet Karen(Kid David outside the series) who is a really cool dancer!

Chapter Twelve: Lessons = WATCH IT! This is another way awesome episode! They are all training together, and it is really fun to watch! Definite keeper!

Chapter Thirteen: Rising = DON'T WATCH IT!!!!!!!! This is like the worst episode that has ever been created. It is absolutely freaky, and scary, and I don't like it at all. If you skip this episode, you won't miss any plot development at all, so don't worry.

Chapter Fourteen: Mark of the Ox = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! Yeah, this is one of the weirder ones because all the bad guys are acting like animals, but I guess that is what they were going for. It is kind of weird, I didn't really like it.

Chapter Fifteen: Tails of War = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! Yeah, this is another one of those episodes that are just weird. There are four creepy seducing girls that are monsters, and they try and kill the good guys. Watch it if you want, I didn't really like it.

Chapter Sixteen: The Greater of Two Evils = WATCH IT! I really liked this one, because it shows that there are two sets of bad guys that want to win, and they will fight each other for it. Fun episode!

Chapter Seventeen: Origins = WATCH IT! You find out the background for the Dark Doctor, and he is a cool kid! He has got some pretty sweet moves too, but you see why he became so dark. Good episode though!

Chapter Eighteen: Experiments = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! Yeah, this one has some cool dance moves, but the whole idea of it is really weird. Dark Doctor stuff, ya know?

Chapter Nineteen: The Good, the Bad, and the RA, Part 1 = WATCH IT! Pretty good episode, great dancing, really cool overall!

Chapter Twenty: The Good, the Bad, and the RA, Part2 = WATCH IT! More good dancing, kinda cliche at the end, but still good dancing!

Chapter Twenty One: Extra-Ordinary 7 = WATCH IT! Sorta weird at the end if I remember, but good dancing for some of it. Story plot development, that is why I gave it a watch it!

Chapter Twenty Two: Ashes = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! I didn't like this episode at all, but their is plot development in it, but still, freaky clown dancing too.

Chapter Twenty Three: Forbidden = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! I didn't find the dancing really cool, but I expect stuff like tapping, and breaking at this point. So yeah, more plot development, if you want to watch it!

Chapter Twenty Four: Can't Dance = WATCH IT! I sorta liked this one, it is kind of quirky, so if you want to watch it, go ahead!

Chapter Twenty Five: Salvage = WATCH IT! Once again, Madd Chadd aka Sp3cimen is brilliant in his work. I highly suggest this one!

Chapter Twenty Six: Reprogram = WATCH IT! More Madd Chadd brilliance, this is an awesome episode!!

Chapter Twenty Seven: RA Games = WATCH IT!! Definitely a really fun one, you get to see a lot of classic breaking, and it is really cool!

Chapter Twenty Eight: Mess in Aisle 7 = WATCH IT! Ballet is more prevalent in this one, but there is also a legit black kid spinnin' all over the place, definitely watch this one!!

Chapter Twenty Nine: Alliance of the Dark = DOESN'T REALLY MATTER! Once again, Madd Chadd is brilliant, but if guys dancing under sheets is freaky to you, don't watch it. :P Still pretty cool one!

And that is where we are at right now in the LXD world! I will keep updating this post every time a new episode comes out, but other than that unless there was an awesome dance clip that I NEED to show you, you probably won't hear from the LXD again...

I will move onto my normal posting of random things.

Thanks for tuning in!
Love Matt or Cakes, you decide ;)

LXD: "The Tale of Trevor Drift" Chapter One

Episode One(Or Chapter One as they are referred to, which I will do from now on)

Running time: 13:41. Main characters that are introduced: Trevor Drift, The Illister, Weird Narrator Dude.

First I will introduce Trevor Drift, since this episode is about him.

Yup, for the ladies he is a pretty handsome fella.

Trevor Drift is played by Bboy Luigi. Other than that, I am not really sure about his real name, but he is a kick butt breakdancer.
Trevor Drift grows up discovering little things that he can do.
Like say.... flips, suicides, awesome moves.... just little things like that.
And he hasn't discovered fully yet his gift, until he hears about the school Prom that is coming up.
His father doesn't want him to go, because he knows that Trevor will discover the family secret that kick butt breakdancing is in his blood, and Trevor will be hunted by the bad guys.
So that is Trevor for now... oh and he gets the girl by the end of the episode. Yay!

Anyway, here is a video of him at Prom. :) (P.S. the guy you see very first is 'The Illister". I will talk about him next)

So that is Trevor Drift. Next: The Illister:

Pretty cool guy right?
Actually, he is a bad guy. So yeah.
The Illister is played by Daniel Campos aka Bboy Cloud. I absolutely love his style of dancing. He is world wide known, been in Step Up 3D, Red Bull BC One Competitions, and of course the LXD(He has a bunch more achievements than that though). All we really know is that he is a "bounty hunter" type guy for the bad guys. Other than that, we will learn more about him later.

And finally on to the Narrator dude:

That is the Weird Narrator Dude. I don't know his name yet, either because he hasn't said it, or I have missed it. Either way, he narrates each chapter at parts, and gives deep advice that usually doesn't make sense to anyone, but it is still cool. We will find out more about him later.

And those are the main characters that are introduced in this episode! Minor characters are just Trevor's Dad, and his new girlfriend who he steals from another guy with his awesome moves. But Trevor's dad is attacked in the end by the Illister, and we will find out what happens there later.

And that is the first chapter in a fantastic series!

Definitely, I would give it a WATCH IT sign(I will either say WATCH IT, DON"T WATCH IT, or DOESN"T REALLY MATTER).

Sound good? I think so!

Blogging: The LXD! Yeah Buddy!

So, I realize that most of you aren't going to care at all about the next few posts, but I enjoy writing about them, so humor me. :)

That is them folks! Well, most of them I am pretty sure! Anyway, throughout this blogging experience, I will go through each episode, tell you whether it is worth watching or not, introduce characters, go through plot, etc.

Now a disclaimer:

These are not professional actors. They are dancers.

Some of them are good at acting, but others can be really cheesy.

But this show isn't about acting. It is about dancing! :)

Anyway, I will start with episode one in the next blog post, and I hope you guys enjoy it!

I am pretty much hooked.

Yup, I have watched all 3 seasons of The LXD(Legion of Extraordinary Dancers).

Granted, the episodes are only 5-15 minutes long, but they are freaking awesome! (A few are a little weird though, that were either really dumb, or just not cool)

Anyway, here is a clip from it, this guy's name is Sp3cimen(played by Madd Chadd if you have heard of him), but it is way awesome!

This guys is pretty good right? Of course!

Basically, you are probably like, what is this all about?

Well, in the LXD world, there are superheroes and villains that are dancers, and they kind of have something like the force.

But they control it through dancing.

Sign me up!

Watching it, I definitely like the good guys style a lot better, because I don't really like stuff like Krumping which looks pretty dark and scary, which is why they use it a lot for the bad guys I guess.

But anyway, That is my thought for the day. LXD is pretty cool!(If you get into it, the first few episodes of Season 2 are really weird, so ask me which ones are cool :))

Have a great day guys!

Foster the People - What a Fantastic Band!

These guys are so cool!

If you have heard them on the radio, you have probably only heard the song "Pumped Up Kicks", but their whole album is incredible!

Here are probably my two favorite songs from them so far, even thought the whole album is awesome!

Those songs are freaking awesome, please listen to them, cuz this band will be really big soon!

Wisdom Teeth: Check, Breakdancing: Not Check

Ever since I hurt my knee, I have been needing to recuperate so I can dance again and stuff like that....

And then I got my wisdom teeth out... on Friday.

It wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, in fact I had a very interesting conversation with my nurse after the surgery(this is what my mom said, because I was totally out of it).

Anyway, now that my knee is feeling better, I have to wait for my face to feel better before I start spinning around on the ground....

Yeah, it might be a while, but I really need to get back into the swing of things with breakdancing.

Here is a picture for myself that will motivate me to get my face feeling better:

So yeah, hope you guys have a great day! :)

Adventure #1 ft. Matt, Andrew, Aaron, and Jake

Hey guys! So this is a special post about some brudda's that were just chillin at my house.

My twin Andrew(He usually is there)

Aaron Wheatley(he biked 20 miles on our recumbent bike)

and of course Jake Knell(what a classy man!)

So yeah, that is the group that endeavoured on this journey.

It has something to do with this:

Yup! Pandora radio! We have it on our T.V. so we can access it from there whenever we want to.

(Don't worry, if you get bored reading this post, I make it more meaningful at the end by tying it into the gospel, so you can make it!)

So here is how this all went down....

The four of us were just chillin in my basement, talking about life and whatever else came up, and we were listening to Pandora while we did this.

I sort of spaced a little bit, because I was thinking about how Pandora finds out what kind of music you like depending on what you turn down or what you say you want to keep!

And I was wondering..........

Could I get a Disney Station that plays classic Disney music from the old movies, to become a station that plays..... Usher maybe?

Yup, I bet you are shocked right now, but that was what I wanted to accomplish. I was wondering if it was possible to instead of playing Dumbo, play usher instead.

So this was my sick experiment that I proposed to Andrew, Aaron, and Jake.....

Naturally they loved the idea of it! :)

So off we went, about to attempt this evil transition of music.

We wanted this station:

To play this music:

Pretty interesting challenge huh? That is what we thought also. :)

Our first attempt at this was a complete disaster. We had the mindset that if we "disliked" everything on the Pandora station that wasn't rap, then we would end up with Usher, but that was completely wrong!

And we soon realized it too, because the further we went, the more "The Wiggles" kept showing up, and if that wasn't bad enough, Pandora eventually blocked us out of the station for about a half hour or something like that.

So we watched Mr. Bean for a little bit, while reformulating our procedure as to how we were going to accomplish this thing.

Finally Pandora let us onto the station again, and we proceeded with more caution this time.

Our first big break was when "Curious George: The Movie" came up(or something called like that), and I was about to press "dislike", when Aaron stopped me, and told me that we might be able to get to something more modern like Jack Johnson if we "liked" Curious George, since he did the music for that movie or something.

So we went ahead and "liked" Curious George, and continued our journey.

It was a lot of hard work, but finally we started making progress into more modern stuff, and we all jumped for joy when we reached a very big landmark in the whole process:

Yup, so far we had gotten Disney songs to Lynyrd Skynyrd! This was pretty amazing that we had been able to reach this point, and from here on out it was a lot easier.

On the way, we saw artists like Bob Marley, Linkin Park, Ke$ha, B.o.B, and Taio Cruz.

But finally, we made it to Usher!

Yup, it was pretty crazy that we could do that, all you need is careful decision as to what route you take to be able to get there!

For good measure, we decided to take it to Lil Wayne, which was our second goal after Usher. :P

So yeah, that is the story of how we were able to take a Disney Station and have it play Usher music. I guess in the end it wasn't that hard to make the switch, you just had to know which songs to reject or accept.

Now, just so this whole blog post isn't worthless, I am going to tie it into the gospel. :) Cuz that is what I do.

I guess in a sense, everyone in their lives start off with a "Disney Station", and depending on what we choose in our lifetimes, those decisions will affect what the future may bring.

Now, I am not saying don't "like" Curious George if the opportunity comes, because that won't get you into very much trouble.... I hope.. but just make sure that you choose your path carefully.

There is a fantastic scripture in 2 Nephi 2:27 and it states:

"Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself."

Pretty much that scripture lays down your choices: go with God and eternal life, or succumb to the devil and captivity.

Pretty sure I want to go with answer number one, which is God's plan.

It really isn't worth it taking that first step down the wrong path, because before you know it, you will be away from the Disney station, and in the hands of Lynyrd Skynyrd.(Disclaimer: I really am not trying to offend anyone if they like Lynyrd Skynyrd, it is just a really good object lesson :)

So yeah, you guys are great! I love all of you, and I hope you have a great day!

Remember, live life like this:

Cuz smiles like that are highly contagious! :)

Love you guys!

New Job!! :)

Yup! I can finally support myself! It feels good to have a new job, especially one that you love doing!

Pretty much I am a welder/construction dude/foreman guy when the boss isn't around.

Sounds like a lot?

Working about 9-11 hours a day?

No Problem!

Yeah, I wake up real early, and go to work at 6:30 AM, and work all morning and into the afternoon, and get off work whenever we are finished laying massive beams or something.

So, I get to do what I like doing, and I get paid for it. :)

And the plus side is that I have made more money in three days than I ever did in two months at my Subway job......

Yeah, never going into fast food again.

Anyway, it is good to have a job, so I will keep you updated on how it is doing! :) Have a great day!! :)

Cries of Freedom!

Patriotism!! Woo!! Oh yeah, you know it!

If you get to know me well, you will soon discover the deep patriot in me. Well... if you come see the play me and my bro are in, you will discover the deep patriot in me! :)

So every year for the past four years, this play has been put on in honor of the Fourth of July, and all of the wonderful men and women who have given their lives to the great cause of freedom!

I believe this is my third year in the show, so I have been in it for the majority that it has been showed to the public. It really is a great show, and it is a wonderful way to pay our respects to those who gave their lives so we could have the privileges of voting, owning land, and being able to feel safe in our homes.

We also are able to bring a few of our brave men who are serving in the navy, marines, army, etc, to the show where we show our appreciation for them, it is very moving for many people to see this.

Below are some pictures of one of our shows a few years back I think, so that you can have a taste of what you can expect!! :)

This picture is of our wonderful cast a few years back
Here is one of my favorite songs called "This is the Moment". We are signers of the Declaration of Independence in this one!
This is one where I am able to play as the King of England, which is actually really fun to do.
Another one on "This is the Moment"
Here is one where we are singing "Into the Fire" which is also one of my favorites, because you can feel all this awesome emotion in it, plus we get swords. :)

Well, hope those pictures get you excited for the play this year! Being at rehearsals has been a lot of fun, and it promises to be a very well done piece of work this year thanks to our fantastic directors, Bonnie Busco and Scott Swain. It would not be possible without their wonderful contribution. Thanks Bonnie and Scott!

Well that is all for tonight, hope you guys can make it! Here is a list of times that we are performing at! If I forgot to mention, it is at the Scera Park right next to the Scera theater.

Here are the times:

Friday, July 1 -- 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 2 -- 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.
Monday, July 4 -- 12:00 p.m, 2:00pm, and 4:00 p.m.

Those are the correct times to the best of my knowledge, but if they are wrong, I will write a new post with the new times! Anyway, hope you guys have a great day! :)

Sorry for the.... pause....

Well peoples, here I am again.

For some reason I took a pretty long break on this blog, but I will try and make sure that doesn't happen again until my mission. :)

Anyway, I guess I need to update folks on my life......

First off, I graduated! *applause here* yay! Yup, it feels really good!

Second, I am picking up breakdancing once again, so if you have any awesome moves you want to teach me, or you want to come jam with me and my buddies, then feel free to call me, and it will be way awesome!

Third, I am applying to a bunch of different welding jobs, so let's hope that one of them hire me! :)

Fourth, food is delicious, and wonderful.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my life right now I guess. I will try and be more faithful in writing more often! Until then, have a wonderful day!

Life is good :)

Yup, the title pretty much sums it up. :D

Today I went Tux shopping with Kate and Kaela for Prom.... I ordered the coolest looking tux ever!! :D It is so studly, I want to burst with happiness. :) Be excited for pictures after prom. :)

MATC still rocks. I have certified in two processes now if that means anything to you, which is really good just so ya know. :) Right now I am on the TIG welding process which I hope won't be too hard...

I am very excited for Spring Break that is coming up, because senioritis is settling in pretty deeply with me right now, so a break is very much welcome! :)

Yup, life rocks. I am super excited for this month, because I also get to turn 18!!.... yeah, life is pretty much zooming by. My brother and I are trying to set it up, so that we get to open our mission calls on New Years Eve. Yeah. That would be so epic! Stay tuned for that!!

You guys have a great day!

Pulling a Matthew

Yup folks, I will be describing "pulling a Matthew" to you guys. The reason I am doing this is because my brother did a "pulling an Andrew" post on his blog, so it made me think of my "pulling a Matthew". :) (Here is the link to my brothers blog: )

Anyway, the "pulling a Matthew" is pretty simple. You get onto Super Smash Bros. Brawl, choose Kirby as your character, and suck up your enemies and then walk off the edge while they are in your stomach... yeah, pretty simple, yet effective. :) Those of you that I have done this to know what I am talking about, because there is so much adrenaline in a room of 29 people when you do that to your opponent. Yeah, we have intense tournaments. :)

Anyway, that is my thought of the day, you guys have a great time!

The Girl Post - Thoughts on Girls from Matt Woodruff

Well everyone, here it is. The Girl Post.

I hope everyone enjoys it, sorry it is sorta long, and if you have any questions for me, make sure to ask them in my comments section of this post. Hope you enjoy it!

This is a very intimidating post to write, because I don't know how to completely express what my thoughts are on girls. So here goes!

Drum roll!!.... First on the list.... A girls smile!

Smiles: Wow, where do I even begin? I walk down the hall at Timpview, and say hi to a lot of people, most of which are girls, and they are all radiating these beautiful smiles! I am talking like, it could be summertime kind of smiles. The way they are smiling even though we are still in March kind of smiles. Wow, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but do you know what I mean? When a girl smiles, it can make my soul melt like a hot knife through butter on a summer day just before it is spread out onto a delicious flaky roll. Yeah, that is what a girls smile is to me. Seriously girls, smiles are one of the most attractive things that I love about all of you, so why not show it off? I give girls smiles a 5 Star rating on a scale of 2 Stars. Yup. Keep smiling, it brightens everyone's day when you do.

Smiles are great. But next topic on the list is!.....

Next on the list.... Kindness!

Kindness: This is one of my favorite parts as well. But don't look at this section as just "kindness", but look at it to mean many more different words, like niceness, personality, etc., whatever you want to call it. But for me, my ideal girl is kind. Someone who genuinely wants other people to feel better about themselves, someone who is willing to lend a hand, say a few nice words to someone that needs it, or to even just smile at someone who needs it.(Refer to the above paragraph on my thoughts on smiles) ;) I think it is sad when people talk bad behind other peoples backs, and especially if it is a girl, because that completely makes me uninterested in someone like that. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.(I think I am quoting Gandhi, or my Mom...) :) Anyway, a kind girl is priceless in my book. Just try and be nice, and you will be happy in life. I guess that is the secret to happiness in the world.

Kind girls. A+. Definitely.

Next on the list of my thoughts.... Teasing!

Teasing: Now before you judge this section of my thoughts, just know that this is not the rude kind of teasing that I hate with a passion, but this kind of teasing could sort of translate into another word: flirting. Now, before you get the wrong idea from me, lets translate it back to teasing, and I will explain myself. I don't mean that girls have to go out of their way to flirt with people. Mostly I am thinking of how much I like to tease girls. It is way fun. Lets face it. :) But for the context of this section, I am thinking of a girl who doesn't mind being teased now and then. When a boy teases a girl, he is most likely flirting with her, and he doesn't mind when the girl will tease him back. So this is where the build up leads to. I like a girl with a sense of humor. Someone to laugh with, share a joke, and just have a good time. I don't know how that sentence translates into the word “teasing”, but just work with me on it. Now I am not saying that you have to push yourself to be funny or anything, but be able to have a good time with your friends, and be able to have fun. I guess that is what I am getting at. I like a girl who knows how to have good clean fun whenever she wants to. This sort of translates back to the kindness paragraph, where if you are kind to everyone, you will probably be able to have a good time with them whenever you want to. So, I hope you guys understand this paragraph when I title it as “teasing”. Not the best word choice, but if you read the whole paragraph, you would be able to understand what I am getting at I guess.

Sorry for the last paragraph, that was quite a bit of rambling, and I hope everyone gets the message of what I am trying to say: just have a good time in life, because life is short.(But still remember your priorities, and follow through with them) :)

Next on the list of my ramblings.... Conversation!

Conversation: For conversation, I am just adding it in, because sometimes it is a dying art. This is for everyone, and not just girls, but texting is taking over our lives, and it is really refreshing to be able to talk to someone face to face or even on a telephone. Now, with pretty much every girl I know, I can pretty much have a good conversation whenever I talk to any of you, so don't be too worried, but just stay aware of this fact. In fact, if any of you just wanted to call me and just talk, I am more than willing to do that. I love talking to girls because they are so wonderful. Yup. So just stay aware that it can be more personal if you talk to someone face to face. I am not saying texting is bad, in fact I would love a phone, and I would text a lot. But just be aware of the value of a real conversation with someone else. It can be very therapeutic, calming, etc., however you want to see it as. :)

(And I am serious, if anyone ever just needs to talk to someone, just give me a call and we can talk. You might find it turns out well!) :)

Next on this continually longer list.... Friendship!

Friendship: Well girls, friendship is very important. Without friends, life wouldn't be as awesome as it is now, right? Definitely. I like a girl who I can be friends with. Someone who you can hang out with, play games, talk, whatever friends do. Being friends with girls is really great, because they balance the guys out, and it is a lot of fun. Am I making any sense on this topic? Don't worry about it, because odds are that I am your friend if you are reading this. :) Just make sure to be nice to everyone, and have fun!

Wow, guys I hope I am not boring you with this post. I should have put a disclaimer at the top warning of its length, but if you read the whole thing, that is awesome for you, because you got to take a little peek into Matt Woodruff's mind.

What this all leads up to, is that all of these qualities makes a girl extremely attractive in my point of view. I just want you girls to know how great you are.

All of you are awesome, and don't forget that. :)

I love you all, and if you have any questions or comments about this post, make sure to post them in the comments section of this post, and I will answer any questions you have about my thoughts on girls.

But my whole reason for this post is to let all of the girls know how great you are, and that I think you have so much influence for good in this world. You all rock my world, I know that. :)

Remember girls, keep showing off your beautiful smiles. You are all gorgeous. The End. ;)

Upcoming Girl Post Trailer Thing... :)

That's right folks! This post will be preceding a post about girls.

Yeah, pretty much.

In this much anticipated post, I will discuss my thoughts on girls, attractive features that they possess, and other things that you will all want to read.

When I have told people that this post is coming, I have received a very excited response, so I will try not to let you people down, and make it worth reading.

But this is one of those posts you can't just crank out in five minutes, so I will be sure to give it some deep thought.

Still epic?

Yup. Still epic.

Well, stay tuned guys, and have a great day!

Some Thoughts on My Life... Cuz It's Been a While....

Hey folks. It has been a while, and I apologize. Life has been busy, so I will update you guys on my life.

1. I am spanking my welding class, I am so good at it. I have done stuff in a month that takes most people 3 months to complete. Oh yeah!

2. The other day I made up my mind of what I will probably do with my future. I am planning as of right now to become a chef. Yup, you heard me right, I am going to major in Culinary Arts(I think that is what the major is called). Wa-Bam! Yup.

3. Yearbook is an awesome class, and I am glad that I randomly showed up one day, and ended up joining. Shweet!

4. I am so excited for upcoming events that will happen soon: Miriam Bay is taking me to MORP, which will be way awesome! My Brother and I will be going to the Space Simulator this week for anyone that knows what that is, and it will be awesome as well! And just cool stuff like that that is coming up.

5. Backstage Jazz Night was way awesome! We had a fantastic turnout, which was really cool. The jazz bands were fantastic, and everyone was dancing and having a good time, which it is always a party when you get together with your friends and put on some jazz music.

Yup, that is what is on my mind right now... well that is what I am willing to write that is on my mind right now... maybe I will have a girl post sometime soon. :) Be excited.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for reading!

Fantastic Date on Friday/Kaela is the Best :)

Well, from the title, I hope you inferred that I went on a date with Kaela on Friday! :P It was absolutely fantastic, and we all had a lot of fun! :)

(Hopefully I will get the pictures soon so I can post some of them here! :D)

Anyway, we started off the night by going ice skating which was absolutely fantastic, cuz I got really good at it. Me and Kaela pretty much dominated the ice, and I think we won in tag.... :)

After ice skating, we all went to Whitney's house where we made chocolate-chip pancakes (tasted amazing!), and had a party. It got pretty crazy, and it was so much fun, trust me when I say that :).

Then we proceeded to play Mafia which is pretty self-explanatory to say that it was awesome! Christian and Caleb were a riot, and it was the best. The End.

Well, sorta the end, we need to do another date with that group :P

Thanks for taking me Kaela!! You are fantastic! :)

MATC and Other Stuff that Goes Ding... ;)

For those of you that have never watched Doctor Who, the only part of this title you need to think about is 'MATC'. I included the other part for Doctor Who fans, just for laughs.

But yeah, this post is mainly about MATC.

Now you are thinking:

"MATC? What is that?"

Well, MATC stands for Mountainland Applied Technology College.

By this point, you are wondering why Matt is talking about it so much, and I am getting to that...

I registered at MATC to certify as a welder!! *Applause Here* Yup, in case you guys didn't know, I am taking a Vocational metals class with Bill at Timpview, and I have really enjoyed it. I love the hands on work, and so when a chance to register for MATC came up, I grabbed it!

Like literally, I grabbed it. I was the last one to register for the course, and I didn't even know I was going to register that morning when I woke up. It just sort of happened really quickly.

So that is pretty cool. I will be going to High School in the mornings, and at 6:00 in the evening I will be going to weld until 9:00 in the evening. The days I weld will be Monday-Thursday, 6-9. I will still be able to have a life on Friday and Saturday, so that made me happy, but ultimately, I will be very busy.

That is about it for now, but I wanted to include some pictures of welding for you guys to see what I will be doing.

That is just some of the awesome stuff that I will do in welding. Luckily, the course I have signed up for will end somewhere around the end of High School as well.

That means I can get a job right out of high school to help put me through college. I will probably work full time in the summer before going to college in the fall. I am trying to get my degree in Public Relations when I attend college.

Thanks for reading this whole thing guys! I just thought I should update on my life! :) Love you all!! Have a great day!!

Good Luck Shane! :D

Well, it has been forever since I last wrote, and I thought today would be a great day to do it! :)

Earlier today, I went to Shane McQuarrie's mission farewell, to listen to his talk he gave (which was fantastic by the way!), and it made me start thinking about my life. . .

I have about a semester left of High School, and then it is off to college to who knows where. I can fit in two semesters of college if I want to, and before I know it I will get my mission call and have my farewell (which you all better come to :P).

Having all this jump up onto you during Sacrament meeting can be quite a bit for a guy. Anyway, it will be about a little over a year I think before I will be heading into the MTC, going who knows where. :)

It is really exciting to think about actually.

But yeah, this is where there are a lot of critical changes in my life happen, and I just wanted to let you guys know that you have all helped contribute to the kind of person I am today, and I love you guys for it!! Thanks so much for helping me progress towards a mission, and a happy life! I love you all!

And good luck Shane! He will be serving in Chicago, Illinois while speaking Spanish, ans that is really exciting! Have a great day everyone! :)
