Quite a bit is happening in 3 days. . .
One of my best friends who for the sake of his anonymity I will call Jesp (name has been changed for the pure awesomeness of this man) ;) is having his farewell this Sunday!
My one month mark until I go on my mission is also this Sunday!!
Pretty awesome huh? Yeah, I am stoked! Another classy gent will be going on his mission two weeks after my brother Jesp reports! His name has been changed as well for the sake of anonymity, as well as the pure awesomeness of this man! His name is Sher-Bear-Jer! Thats right folks, THE Sher-Bear-Jer is quite wonderful as well.
There are many other classy gents, but for the sake of time and text space, the last quite well known gent that coincidentally is my twin, is named the Drewsta, or by some known as the Liberator. Yup. He rocks too!
Now, I know your question right now: where is this guy going with all of this?
Quite simply, I will take you to the scriptures to illustrate my thoughts:
Alma 17: 13
"And it came to pass when they had arrived in the borders of the land of the Lamanites, that they separated themselves and departed one from another, trusting in the Lord that they should meet again at the close of their harvest; for they supposed that great was the work which they had undertaken."
This scripture is describing the sons of Mosiah as they prepare to go out and teach the Lamanites to bring them to salvation and eternal life (which they are quite successful in doing!).
When I read that scripture, it reminds me of the amazing brothers and examples that I have in my life.
I am ecstatic and excited to be able to go out with these great guys to different parts of the World to preach the gospel to our Father's children. At times, it makes me sad to think that I will not see these gents for two years, but then I go back and read Alma 17:13 where is says that the sons of Mosiah trust in the Lord that they will return and meet again at the close of their missions!
I am proud of all my brethren heading out to serve missions, and this is a tribute to them and their faithfulness in the Lord to go serve a mission! You guys are a wonderful example to me!! Thank you!
